Att Yahoo Email Settings-AT&T is a US multinational and world largest telecommunication company. Its headquarters is located at Whitacre Tower, in downtown Dallas, Texas. If you are also a client of AT&T and want to configure your email then have a look at steps below:

Steps to Configure Att Email Settings for POP3

  • Incoming Mail Server:att.net
  • Incoming Mail Server Port Number: 995
  • Outgoing Mail Server Name: outbound.att.net
  • Outgoing Mail Server Port Number: 465
  • SSL Encryption: Ticked/Checked
  • Authentication: Username and password required

Steps to Configure Att Email Settings for IMAP

  • Incoming Mail Server:mail.att.net
  • Incoming Mail Server Port Number: 993
  • Outgoing Mail Server Name: smtp.mail.att.net
  • Outgoing Mail Server Port Number: 465 or 587
  • SSL Encryption: Ticked/Checked
  • Authentication: Username and password required

If you are using AT&T Yahoo mail account, then find the settings to configure the email settings below. AT&T email settings are always complicated due to the presence of various SMTP mail servers. Whenever their customers call for the problem of email configuration it always ends up in a great battle. You can find below a list of SMTP mail servers available for yahoo:

Steps to setup Att Yahoo Email with Outlook Express

Step 1: click the icon Outlook Express to open the program

Step 2: Now click set up a mail account button, then Your Name screen would be displayed

Step 3: In the display name field, enter the name you want to display and then click next

Step 4: The internet email address screen would be displayed. Now in the email address field type your email address with domain name then click next

Step 5: Screen named as Email Server names would be displayed

Step 6: In My incoming mail server field, select POP3 from the dropdown list. In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server field, enter pop.att.yahoo.com.
Similarly, In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, enter smtp.att.yahoo.com. And then click next.

Step 7: Screen named as Internet Mail Logon would display
In the Account name field, Enter your account name.

Step 8: In the Password field, type your AT&T given email and password then Click Next.
Screen named as Congratulations would display then Click Finish. Then after Click on the account in which you want to make changes

Step 9: Then Click on the Properties button

Step 10: Then Click on the tab named as Servers

Step 11: Then Checked on the Remember password checkbox and the My server requires authentication checkbox.

Step 12: After that click on the Settings button.

Step 13: Select the proper Outgoing Mail Server settings which require

Step 14: If Incoming Mail Server (POP3) is set to pop.att.yahoo.com, select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

Step 15: If your Incoming Mail Server (POP3) is set to something other than pop.att.yahoo.com, select Log on using, give your full AT&T Email id and Password, and leave Remember Password checked.

Step 16: Click the OK button.

Step 17: Click on the Advanced tab.

Step 18: Check both boxes for Incoming and Outgoing Secure Socket Layer connections (SSL):

Incoming mail port number: 995, secure connection (SSL) checked.

Outgoing mail port number: 465, secure connection (SSL) checked.

Check the boxes before specifying port numbers. Click OK and then click the Close button.
